4.3 The BookFunnel app enables everyone to download the e-book to his Android phone or Kindle Fire wirelessly. BookFunnel is a platform that helps authors distribute their books to readers, and it provides tools for creating landing pages for books, as well as email marketing and delivery services for ebook and audiobook files. It is commonly used by independent authors and small publishing houses to promote and distribute their books. However, BookFunnel does not have a dedicated app that can be downloaded from app stores.
Features & Highlights
BookFunnel is a versatile tool designed for authors, publishers, and readers alike. It simplifies the process of sharing and distributing ebooks, making it an essential app for anyone in the literary world. Here are some of the standout features that make BookFunnel shine:
Real Experience Using BookFunnel
Application Scenarios
As an author, I often find myself in various scenarios where BookFunnel becomes invaluable. For instance, during my recent book launch, I used the app to distribute advance copies to a select group of reviewers. The process was stress-free; I simply uploaded my manuscript, created a download link, and sent it out. Additionally, I utilize BookFunnel for reader sign-ups before launching a new series. The landing pages I set up not only showcase my upcoming releases but also allow me to gather emails for future newsletters, which is a fantastic way to keep my audience engaged.
User Experience
The user interface of BookFunnel is intuitive and user-friendly. I found the dashboard to be well-organized, making it easy to navigate through various features. The workflow for uploading a book is straightforward; I simply select the file, choose the formats, and create a download link. The performance has been impeccable; I’ve never experienced lag, and the downloads are quick and reliable. Overall, my feelings after using the app have been overwhelmingly positive. It has not only simplified my distribution process but also empowered me to connect with my readers more effectively.
Pricing
BookFunnel offers several pricing tiers to suit different needs. The basic plan is reasonably priced and provides essential features like ebook delivery and reader support. For authors who want more advanced features, such as landing pages and integration with email marketing tools, the premium plan is worth considering. Given the value it provides, I find the pricing to be justified, especially for serious authors looking to streamline their marketing and distribution efforts.
Updates & Support
One aspect I particularly appreciate about BookFunnel is their commitment to updates and support. The app receives regular updates that enhance functionality and address any bugs promptly. Whenever I’ve needed assistance, the support team has been quick to respond and very helpful. Whether it’s a technical question or guidance on using a feature, I feel supported throughout my journey as an author.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, I take security and privacy seriously, and BookFunnel does not disappoint in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a secure download from reputable sources. When registering, I found that the personal data requirements were minimal, which is a relief considering the data privacy concerns prevalent today.
Importantly, BookFunnel does not bombard its users with ads, and I noticed no intrusive tracking behaviors while using the app. They prioritize user privacy, which I find reassuring as an author who shares my work and gathers reader information for newsletters. Overall, I feel that BookFunnel maintains a strong stance on security and privacy, making it a trustworthy platform for authors and readers alike.

The app is not user friendly or intuitive. It will not display book series in the order of release and I have not found a way to manually reorder the books. It's annoying having to dig through all of a series to find which book you're currently listening to. Also, the app opens to a screen asking you for a book code rather than the player. I can't really recommend the player, but there are some series you just have to use it for.

Useful tool to access books purchased directly from authors. My big issue right now is that it seems like you cannot have multiple emails, so I have to log out/in to the email the books were sent to and it's a bit of a hassle. I tried to review their 'help' docs but nothing references this nor is there a search option... Otherwise, decent, simple little app.

It's not a terrible app, but it has a bad habit of rearranging my books out of the order I put them in. If it didn't do that or seem to glitch, sometimes when I have to exit out of it and enter it again, that would be welcome. Some more options for organization and customization would be appreciated, especially if you could choose where the downloads go. Also, why does it not sync across devices?

you usually can't get to your list of books but it does exist, I've been there. Opening the app takes you straight to the download code page. I try to reset my password but it says I have the wrong email, the same one it just accepted. I can't find any access to customer service. There are lists of books available for free but getting there is next to impossible. If I have a link it usually works but frequently not. The app sucks for the reader. There is lots of support for writers

No options to; have it read aloud to, so I can listen+read. Not able to categorize/organize my books. Not able to highlight or Annotate/ make notes on it.Can't make it to scroll up, only allows swipping. Hard to get into a book without smooth/good transition in page. Only accepts a few formats not all. I only really use it to get access to books I can't otherwise. I am just going to leave it at that, there can definetly be more than a few improvements on it.
