Great continuation of untold and red tide - nice references to those games if you've played them previously but prior experience not required. This does feel a bit more difficult to start off with, mainly due to the debt collectors however beating the pit and everything the arena does help a lot. DLC was also a fun diversion and probably helped with the difficulty. I look forward to more content from these developers.

it's almost impossible to win a battle on your first try. Your character is severely under-leveled for each battle. Oh, you need to pass by this one group of thugs to continue your story? "Try again 5+ times to get past." even with strength at 3, highest armor you can buy and a strong weapon; it's still "try again" after 5 times. I like the story, but I can't play because I don't have enough power to do any fights. Yes, I'm all the side quests, getting every amount of XP I can.

Well worth the cost. Have played all three games in the series, and this is the best so far of a very good set, with an interesting story and setting, well described with few stylistic errors. Black Dust is less linear and offers more character development choices, and choices in the early game definitely matter. Need to consider all options and not always follow orders or make the "obvious" move when other choices may pay off better later. But I do wish potions were available during combat!

i like what it is but I have a couple problems. first off the cartel. they are HIGHLY an annoyance, especially when it comes to getting gold so you can get better equipment they just come out of nowhere and if even you brought up your skills it still doesn't work. Next is the environment. in addition to the cartel everyone you have to fight is dark souls level difficulty which I wouldn't mind if you can actually heal while fighting. I have more to list but I don't have enough space to type.

So frustrating and infuriating that it's not even fun to play. ALL of your gold gets stolen from you the moment you have enough to buy anything, opponents get more "turns" in battle and often fight 3-6 vs. player. Even after leveling up and clearing through several quests, I was still getting wiped out by enemies repeatedly. There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the difficulty, which is a shame.
