4.2 Features & Highlights
PayPal - Pay, Send, Save is more than just a digital wallet; it's a comprehensive financial tool that simplifies transactions and money management. Here are some of its standout features:
Real Experience Using PayPal - Pay, Send, Save
Application Scenarios
Using the PayPal app has become a part of my everyday life. For example, I often use it when dining out with friends. Instead of fumbling with cash or trying to calculate who owes what, I simply pull out my phone, enter the amount, and send them their share in seconds. Additionally, when I shop online, whether it’s for clothing or electronics, I always opt for PayPal at checkout because of the security it provides. Just last week, I purchased a new pair of running shoes from an online retailer, and the entire process was seamless. I received a confirmation email within minutes, and my shoes arrived just a few days later.
User Experience
The user interface of the PayPal app is intuitive and user-friendly. From the moment I opened it, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation easy. The main dashboard displays my balance at a glance and allows me to access various features with just a few taps. Transferring money is straightforward; I simply select 'Send Money,' choose a contact, and enter the amount. The whole process is quick, and I’ve never encountered any lag or performance issues. The notifications keep me updated on transactions, which adds to my sense of security. Overall, using PayPal feels like a modern and efficient way to handle my financial transactions.
Pricing
Using PayPal is generally free for personal transactions, especially when sending money from your PayPal balance or a linked bank account. However, if you're using a credit or debit card to send money, there is a small fee involved. For businesses, there are transaction fees based on the sales volume, which can be a consideration if you're a small business owner. Overall, the pricing structure is transparent, and I appreciate knowing what to expect before making any transactions.
Updates & Support
PayPal regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in transaction speed and interface updates that make navigation even smoother. The customer support is readily available, with options for live chat, email, and phone support. I had a question about a recent transaction and reached out to their support team; they responded promptly and resolved my query within minutes. Their commitment to user support adds to my confidence in using the app.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to financial apps. PayPal is available on both the App Store and Google Play, where it has received high ratings for its security measures. During registration, the app requires personal information such as your name, email address, and payment information, which is standard for financial services.
One aspect I appreciate is that PayPal does not share my financial information with merchants, keeping my data private while I shop online. However, like many apps, it does utilize tracking for personalized advertisements. Despite this, I feel secure knowing that PayPal employs robust encryption protocols to protect my data during transactions. Overall, I trust PayPal with my financial transactions and appreciate their focus on user security and privacy.

Quick and easy payment sent digitally to a friend. So convenient and so quick! And without a fee which was really nice!!! *Edit* I still love PayPal since making my last review. I enjoy sending money to my friends quickly and without fees. The world we live in never comes without fees! Relish this time and this app! 😄 Who knows how long it will stay this way!

Functionally ok, deceptive and full of confusing data. Combines Credit and Debit card transactions when trying to view one card, doesn't display % back on some transactions though they may actually be calculated in the statement. Went through a chargeback due to fraud and the money showed credited and deducted about 5x across several months... overall very inconvenient for tracking payments.

app doesn't work anymore. if you try to go to credit, it reloads for about 5 minutes and then says unavailable. this has been going on for weeks. According to PayPal, somehow their app is a bank issue and nothing to do with them. synchrony bank rightfully blames PayPal. seems like both sides know it's a problem but no one has a solution so until it's fixed I don't recommend using PayPal at all. you can't view or pay for your transactions right now.

They did something to mess it up. I suspect they're trying to push PayPal users into new credit cards or debit systems to generate more revenue for PayPal, but actions that used to be simple and straightforward are now unnecessarily complicated. For example transferring my PayPal balance to my bank account used to be very straightforward, but now the setting is buried. I clicked on the wrong thing multiple times before I finally scrolled way down and found what I was looking for.

I've been with PayPal quite a while. as an online bank they are ok. HOWEVER . they do not seem to honor the rewards program that they offer. they are supposed to pay 5% back to you on certain purchases. I chose groceries. and I have spent over $400 in the past two months and they have not added the rewards compensation. I have sent 9 e mails without response. so I called today and I have to wait 2 days on call back while they investigate! it should not be this hard to collect what they offer!
