Audiobooks.com: Books & More is a versatile app designed for audiobook lovers. It offers a plethora of features that cater to both casual listeners and avid readers alike. Here are some of the standout features that truly enhance the overall experience:
Real Experience Using Audiobooks.com: Books & More
Application Scenarios
In my daily life, I often juggle multiple responsibilities, making it challenging to carve out time for reading. This is where Audiobooks.com comes into play. I frequently listen to audiobooks during my morning commute, turning what could be mundane travel time into an enriching experience. Whether I’m stuck in traffic or taking the train, I can dive into a riveting story or learn something new while navigating my busy schedule. Additionally, I’ve found the app particularly helpful during household chores. Whether I’m cooking dinner or cleaning the house, I can get lost in a good book without having to physically hold a book or e-reader.
User Experience
The user interface of Audiobooks.com is both intuitive and visually appealing. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes browsing through genres and new releases a breeze. The search feature is robust, allowing me to filter results based on author, title, or genre. I appreciate how seamlessly the app transitions between tracks, and I’ve experienced minimal lag when moving between different sections. The personalized recommendations have consistently expanded my listening horizons, leading me to discover gems I may have otherwise overlooked. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, with the app’s performance meeting my expectations time and again.
Pricing
Audiobooks.com operates on a subscription model, offering a free trial to get you started. After the trial, the pricing is quite reasonable, with plans starting at around $14.95 per month, which includes one audiobook credit per month and unlimited access to their library of original content. This value is particularly appealing given the extensive range of titles available. For avid listeners, it’s a cost-effective way to enjoy a variety of books without breaking the bank.
Updates & Support
The developers of Audiobooks.com are diligent about keeping the app updated with new features and improvements. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance functionality and user experience. The support team is responsive and helpful, assisting with any issues I’ve encountered along the way. Their FAQ section is comprehensive, addressing common questions and concerns, making it easy to find answers without needing to reach out directly.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, Audiobooks.com takes your concerns seriously. The app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets necessary security standards. Upon registration, users are required to provide basic personal information, such as an email address and payment details for subscription purposes. However, I was pleased to discover that the app does not bombard users with intrusive ads or excessive tracking behavior. My usage data is kept private, and I have the option to adjust any privacy settings according to my preferences. Overall, I feel secure using the app, knowing that my information is handled responsibly.

The app is pretty clunky. Changing the speed is hit or miss. Sometimes it works and other times it says it's at 1.5 for example, but it's still at the default 1.0 when playing. Speed changes don't work at all when casting to a Google Home speaker either. Also, there needs to be a "Sleep Timer" for the end of the Chapter so I can have it auto stop at that point instead of trying to guess and have it go over or stop short.

I wish this app worked better. Many of the books in the series I'm reading now have weird glitches where you miss part of the book. Some times the books don't download all the way and then you don't have access to it offline. When there is no Internet or cell service the app struggles to work, if it works at all. I'm just using up the remaining credits and trying something different. I have shared the issues with this app on more than one occasion.

This app is okay sometimes but also it seems to glitch alot when it comes to the the rewind/forward 30 seconds feature for audiobooks, and Whenever I try to rewind 30 seconds, it will instead jump forward several minutes making me spend several more minutes trying to find my place. And recently when I've opened the app, it has completely erased all my progress and started the book from the beginning twice. Which as you can imagine is very frustrating.

Super easy to access books, download them, & listen in the car or on a walk. I removed 1 star because I signed up with a code from a friend, and that somehow negated the free month trial so I got fewer books included going that route. It seems if I had signed up for the trial first then put the code in, I would have received the monthly perks and my friends gift of a premium book. Strange it did not work in the order I went. So I don't feel like I have been able to test out everything.

free description is not free, they charge you and then tell you that you get your money back after the three days, but then if you don't remember to cancel it on the third day, they just charge you the money for it from the first time! and $14.99 gets you 1 book credit which is normally 1 book!!! I will stick to Spotify for the free books I listen to on there!
