I have noticed that every time I use the CRED app, I receive reward cards, but they are not useful for anything. Earlier, I at least used to get cashback occasionally, but even that has stopped now. Sometimes the app gives shopping reward cards, but none of them are useful for even small purchases. Because of this, I am not using the app frequently. It would be better if CRED removes these irrelevant rewards and focuses more on providing real cashback or genuinely useful shopping vouchers.

Only good thing about this app that you can manage your credit card payments on a single platform. Rest everything is pointless. The rewards they offer are useless and pointless I have been offered an Audible subscription for 3 months about 15 times roughly. They fool you in name of cashback... you can only get them through that reward game and that also deducts your cred coins on every turn. Aside from the payment gateway everything else is just a Ponzi scheme.

I've been using CRED for the last 2-3 years. Earlier, I'd genuinely look forward to the ₹2-5 cashback on my credit card bill payments - it wasn't much, but it felt honest. Now, no matter how many transactions I do, all I get in the name of cashback are pointless coupons and credit card offers. The real value has just vanished. I'm slowly moving to other apps to pay my bills. CRED used to be the best, but now it feels like a payment gateway that almost gives nothing.

Enshitified. You get a pop-up to register your biometrics for payments every time you open the app, or every time you do a transaction. Interesting timing considering Meta's recent investments in India, the free data mine. Haven't received a single rupee in cashback in almost a month while making payments via credit card.

The only reason I keep using this app is for the points and the cred store. 99% of the time, they give me cred coins c̄, which I can use to buy vouchers or stuff from their store. Both are just a eyewash. After using their coins, the products on the cred store are expensive than on Amazon or elsewhere for the same brand and quantity. Less than 1% of the time, I get cashback, and even then, if they claim up to (say) ₹100/-, I only get ₹1 or ₹2! There are UPI apps with better savings & returns.
