Real Experience Using Remote Jobs Search - FlexJobs
Application Scenarios
As someone who has transitioned to remote work in recent years, I frequently rely on the Remote Jobs Search - FlexJobs app to hunt for new opportunities. Just last week, I used the app while waiting for a friend at a local park. With the sun shining and birds chirping, I opened the app and started scrolling through the curated job listings. The user-friendly interface made it easy to filter jobs according to my skills and experience. I stumbled upon a remote content writing position that seemed like a perfect fit, and within minutes, I had submitted my application right from my phone. It was incredibly convenient to have such a powerful tool right at my fingertips.
User Experience
The user interface of the Remote Jobs Search - FlexJobs app is clean and intuitive, making navigation seamless. Upon launching the app, I was greeted with a well-organized dashboard that showcases the latest job postings. The workflow for applying to jobs is straightforward; I can save listings I’m interested in and even apply directly through the app. One of my favorite features is how quickly I can access company profiles, which provides me with essential insights before I hit that “apply” button. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly, with quick loading times and no unnecessary glitches, which made my job search experience enjoyable rather than frustrating. Overall, I felt empowered and supported in my job search, which is a refreshing change from other platforms I’ve used.
Pricing
FlexJobs operates on a subscription model, which might seem like a hurdle at first, but it’s worth every penny for serious job seekers. You can choose between a monthly, quarterly, or annual membership, and I opted for the annual plan to maximize my savings. The investment has already paid off; I’ve found several potential job matches that I wouldn't have discovered otherwise. Plus, the peace of mind knowing the listings are curated adds significant value to the cost.
Updates & Support
The support offered by FlexJobs is commendable. Whenever I had a query or needed assistance, their customer support team responded promptly and with helpful information. They also regularly update the app, introducing new features and fixing bugs, which reflects their commitment to user experience. Recently, they added a feature for video interviews, which has made the application process even more streamlined. I appreciate that they listen to user feedback and consistently improve the app.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using job search apps. FlexJobs is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that you download it from a trusted source. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my email address and a password, which felt reasonable. I also noticed that the app does not bombard me with ads or engage in excessive tracking behavior, which is a welcome change from many free job platforms. The focus on maintaining a secure environment for users to find jobs without compromising personal data is reassuring and makes the overall experience more pleasant. FlexJobs takes privacy seriously, and their approach to data handling aligns well with my expectations as a user.

This app is AWFUL. I signed up for a 7 day ONLY trial at a discount. It said NOTHING about trying to charge me on an auto basis right after. I hate when companies do that; very sneaky! Thankfully, the charge didn't go through, but neither the website nor the app provide ANY way of cancelling the subscription. I had to call to cancel. The young lady who helped me was very kind and sweet. She's the ONE decent person to do with this horrid app/ website. I definitely won't be using it anymore!

I like how the jobs are screened to limit scams and false job postings, however there are definitely some things that could be better in the app itself. For one, even if you filter 100% remote or give a certain state/location, many of the jobs then that show up aren't actually 100% remote or require travel half way across the country. Additionally, setting a filter to entry level you still get mid+ level jobs. there are a few other things I dont like about the app and its lack of tailoring

Literally every feature of this app is locked behind a $286.20/year subscription. Oh - but you can give them your personal data for them to sell for free though! Edit: The response about their "low cost" plan works out to $286.20/yr, not sure why they consider that "low cost" lmfao. Also, it is NOT upfront about the cost - I had to search through VERY small fine print to figure out the cost. Your response is VERY misleading, and I would dock more stars for the response if I could.

Never even got started. First thing it asks you for is a review or if you're liking the app. The one you haven't used yet. The second thing is to "upgrade". Considering downloading it is the only thing you can do free and that you can't even see the companies posting ads unless you spend money. This should not be even allowed to be listed as free. As for how it works I couldn't tell you but I will say to stay away and look on LinkedIn or any other actually free service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

So! I'll start this by saying that I think others are overreacting about the bait-and-switch. Yes, they could be more front about it, but you CAN make it work for you! Just pay the $2.50 and cancel. Also, every listing leads to each company's external website, and then your resume won't actually attach to any of them. So what I'm doing is saving all the positions that meet my criteria, emailing myself the links, and then applying on my laptop. It's good for filtering for good remote jobs!
