Real Experience Using Etsy: Shop & Gift with Style
Application Scenarios
Throughout my daily life, I find myself turning to the Etsy app for various reasons. Whether it’s for a last-minute gift for a friend’s birthday or searching for unique home decor to spruce up my living room, Etsy has become a go-to resource. Just last week, I had a friend’s wedding to attend, and instead of opting for a standard gift, I scoured the app for a personalized wedding gift. I ended up finding a beautiful hand-painted serving tray that was both practical and heartfelt. The joy of finding something truly unique is a feeling that only Etsy can provide, making every purchase feel special.
User Experience
Navigating the Etsy app is a delightful experience. The layout is clean, making it easy to browse through various categories. I appreciate the simple yet effective search bar at the top, which allows me to input keywords or phrases to find precisely what I'm looking for. The feature workflow is smooth; adding items to my cart and checking out is intuitive and straightforward. I've encountered very few glitches during my time using the app, and the loading times are impressively quick, even when browsing high-resolution images of products. Overall, my feelings after using Etsy are overwhelmingly positive. It feels like a community rather than just an app, and I always leave satisfied with my finds.
Pricing
Etsy operates on a diverse pricing model that varies based on the sellers. While many items are reasonably priced, you can also find high-end collectibles and custom items that reflect their craftsmanship. In my experience, the value for handmade goods is often worth the slightly higher price tag. Additionally, the app frequently features sales and discounts, which makes shopping even more appealing.
Updates & Support
Etsy regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the search function and the addition of new filters to streamline my shopping journey. Customer support is readily available through the app, offering assistance via chat and email. I had to reach out once regarding an order issue, and I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt response I received. Their commitment to supporting both buyers and sellers is evident and adds to the overall positive experience on the platform.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, Etsy takes measures to protect its users. The app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play, which provides a level of trustworthiness. During registration, I only had to provide minimal personal information, such as my email and shipping address, which is a relief compared to many other online shopping platforms. I also appreciate that Etsy is transparent about its data usage policies; they do not engage in excessive tracking or intrusive advertising. Instead, they focus on providing a tailored experience based on my interactions, which feels both safe and respectful of my privacy. Overall, I feel secure using Etsy, knowing they prioritize the protection of my personal information while allowing me to enjoy a unique shopping experience.

Very hard to find my account and past purchases. Should be a tab next to all the other tabs. Instead it's a circle at top right corner that I can ONLY find if I close and reopen the app😮💨 Plus, When I place several of the same items in my cart. It says I have one item in my cart. Kind of goofy. Don't any of the developers use the app. They might spot these errors if they did.

I keep trying for some reason but continously disappointed with this app. Only 2 orders were on time, 1 was broken and had to be resent. 3 never arrived, 2 of which I did not get refunded. 1 out of 9 orders actually successfully delivered on time and not broken. Want to support small businesses, but this app is a fail and not worth the risk. Choose another option.

I love Etsy, but the shipping is expensive, just bought a simple sticker and they charge over $4.00 for shipping. It was more than the sticker! But I can't find it anywhere else and I needed it. Why not just a stamp? It would fit in a basic envelope! I don't buy alot just because of the shipping costs. But they have amazing sellers and items! I love the uniqueness of the items! Just the shipping costs makes it frustrating.

There used to be a feature, where you could see all the shops you followed, and they would show you the most recent items for those shops in one area. They took that away? Why? To make it harder than it already is to find what you want to buy? Combined with the fact that the search is the worst (sort by recent? Doesn't work. Search key words? Etsy throws in 100s of unrelated results) and the app is just this awful garbage that shows you stuff you don't want to see.

Everytime this app is updated it creates a million problems I wish they would just leave it alone. Once again there's a bunch of issues after updating. My saved folders are all rearranged, items have disappeared from my sorted folders. I have hundreds of saved items in each folder and after scrolling through maybe 40, the items just keep repeating forever instead of showing me the other things I have in said folder. Also, after so many items it shows Everything to be sold out even when it's not.
