4.3 FlipaClip is an online application that lets users create digital animations. It offers a drag-and-drop interface, and users can add sound, text, and images to their animations. FlipaClip also provides users with tools to share their creations online. One advantage of FlipaClip is that it is easy to use. Real Experience Using FlipaClip: Create 2D Animation
Application Scenarios
As a passionate animator, I often find myself using FlipaClip during my downtime, whether on a cozy evening at home or while lounging in a café. One of my favorite scenarios was during a recent road trip. Instead of scrolling through my phone aimlessly, I took out my tablet and started sketching ideas for a new animated short. The app's offline functionality allowed me to work on my animations without needing an internet connection. I was able to create rough drafts and refine them later when I had more time to focus.
User Experience
FlipaClip's user interface is remarkably smooth and straightforward. The layout is clean, with all essential tools easily accessible. I was particularly impressed by the workflow during my animation process. I could quickly switch between drawing, editing, and adding audio without any hitches. The performance of the app was top-notch; I never experienced lag, even when working on complex projects with multiple layers. One feature I loved was the ability to zoom in for precise details, which is crucial when animating intricate movements. Overall, my experience with FlipaClip has been overwhelmingly positive, and I've developed a deeper appreciation for 2D animation as a result.
Pricing
FlipaClip operates on a freemium model, which means you can download the app for free but may encounter ads and limited features. To access premium tools and remove ads, you can opt for a one-time in-app purchase or a subscription model. I found the pricing reasonable, especially considering the extensive features offered for aspiring animators.
Updates & Support
The development team behind FlipaClip is dedicated to enhancing user experience, as evidenced by regular updates that introduce new features and fix bugs. I recently noticed an update that improved the sound integration feature, making it easier to sync audio with animations. Additionally, the support team is responsive; I reached out with a query about a feature, and they replied promptly with helpful guidance.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, FlipaClip takes responsible measures to protect users. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security guidelines set by these platforms. Registration is straightforward, requiring only basic information, which means you don't need to provide excessive personal data.
Moreover, while the app does display ads, they are unobtrusive and not overly aggressive. I appreciate that FlipaClip does not seem to engage in unnecessary tracking behavior, which is a concern for many American users. This transparency contributes to a safer and more enjoyable user experience, allowing me to focus on what I love—creating animations!

Ive been using Flipaclip since 2021, over 5 years now. I really love how simple and easy it is for beginners to pick up, but the massive problem is that they shove ads and subscriptions in your face any time you do anything, God forbid I want to add an image. They keep locking things behind premium or ads that should be completely free for anyone to use, including using more than 3 layers, some brushes, and to HIDE THE HUGE WATERMARK! As much as I love this app, it desperately needs improvement.

after my 7 day free trial ended...let me adjust this review. 1. You absolutely still need a liquify tool, that hasn't changed. But I would like to understand why, during the entire 7 day free trial, I didn't see one ad, not a single one, but as soon as you charge my card...bam! ads every time I open the app! and they aren't just simple click away ones either, they are the annoying ones that you have to wait, watch and do multiple steps to click out of...what am I paying for then?

I mainly use Flipaclip to draw and use it for some animation for 2 years, and honestly, this app isn't that great. The number of ads you get in one day is stupid. Want to add a photo? An ad. Want to exit in and out of a project? An ad. Also, half of the brushes I want to use to make a new art style is locked by a $30 subscription that isn't even permanent. Not only that, I can't even use over 3 layers without paying that said subscription. The only thing saving it is how easy it is to use it.

I absolutely love this platform! Although it is on the more basic side, for a free app it works well! So far I haven't had any problems or bugs, but I do wish that they had better and more diverse brushes. I am a beginner animator, so overall it works for what I'm doing. I do kind of wish there were more settings for the onion skin feature, like maybe add a transparency setting or something. The content is incredible! There are so many talented animators and editors, and It's really inspiring!

It's good for animation and drawing... but it sucks when you're drawing and if your other finger slips and touches the screen your drawing is gone. Don't get me started on how many ads there are. If you accidentally click out which it's very sensitive to that it will give you ads like 3 so you have to close out. It's really annoying. I didn't think I would have to make a review on this app after using it for 4 years.
